The situation

Source Afrique supplies unrefined shea butter, cocoa butter and botanical oils in bulk from West Africa to cosmetics manufacturers, wholesalers and brands worldwide. The buyers are procurement teams, not consumers, and their questions are specific: certification, minimum order quantities, shipping terms, and whether this supplier can be relied on. The site had to answer a procurement checklist, not sell a product.

What we built

  • A B2B site structured around the buyer's actual decision path — products, process, shipping, about, contact — rather than a marketing narrative
  • A structured quotation request capturing company, contact, product category and volume, so enquiries arrive qualified instead of as open-ended email
  • A downloadable product catalogue for the buyer who needs to circulate it internally
  • Trust signals surfaced immediately: certification, sourcing model, shipping terms and support
  • English and French throughout, for a francophone team selling into English-speaking markets

How we approached it

We wrote for procurement, not for consumers.

Every page answers a question a buyer would otherwise send an email to ask. Order quantities, shipping terms and certification sit above the fold because that is what qualifies a supplier.

We designed the enquiry form as the product.

In B2B export the conversion is a quotation request, so the form is structured, specific and the destination of the whole site.
