The situation

Lexy Cosmetics is a major cosmetics and nail care retailer in Lebanon with the catalogue and traffic to match. The store it was running had accumulated the usual WordPress weight — slow pages, an interface that fought smaller screens, and a platform the team could not move quickly on. The brief was to move the business onto Shopify without losing what worked, and to fix the speed and the interface while we were there.

What we built

  • A full WordPress to Shopify migration, catalogue and store intact
  • A rebuilt storefront: faster pages, and an interface that holds up on the phone screens most of the traffic arrives on
  • A performance pass measured before and after rather than assumed

How we approached it

We treated the migration as the moment to fix performance, not just to move.

A platform migration is the one time a store is already being taken apart. Rebuilding the theme during the move rather than after it meant the speed work cost a fraction of what a separate engagement would have, and the measured result was roughly a 60% improvement.

We moved them onto a platform their own team can run.

The point of leaving WordPress was not Shopify specifically — it was that day-to-day changes stop requiring a developer. The handover matters as much as the migration.
